Yes, after all the attention they've gotten over the years, they've finally tied the knot! Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's wedding festivities are in full swing, and their first images as husband and wife are finally out, following their mehendi on April 13th and wedding on April 14th. The wedding was a small affair by celebrity standards, with only their closest friends and family in attendance. It was so intimate that the wedding took place in their own home! The theme seemed to be gold, ivory, and pastels—very subtle and classy! We also adored the fact that she was dressed in a saree—so gorgeous! And certainly not what you'd expect from a conventional Bollywood bride!
The first photos of their wedding celebrations are out, and brace yourselves for the chemistry!
The bride and groom, of course, donned Sabyasachi.
Alia Bhatt donned a hand-dyed ivory organza sari with delicate tile work and an embroidered handmade tissue veil for the wedding ceremony. Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery with uncut diamonds and hand-strung pearls was paired with it.
Ranbir Kapoor wore a silk sherwani with zari marori embroidery and Sabyasachi uncut diamond buttons, as well as a silk organza safa and shawl. Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery created a kilangi with uncut diamonds, emeralds, and pearls, as well as a multistrand pearl necklace.
Is there a lovely teardrop solitaire mangalsutra there, too? So delicate and lovely!
The pair captioned these photos with a sweet message., "Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married.
With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites.
Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special.
Love,
Ranbir and Alia"
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been dating for a while now, but have always chosen to keep their relationship under wraps. Their wedding was slated to happen back in 2020, but the pandemic and Rishi Kapoor's untimely death took a backseat. But it has finally happened, and we couldn't be more excited for the couple!
