It's not often that you see a bride with little or no makeup on, especially if she's a celebrity. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, knocked it out of the park with her ridiculously basic bridal look, which featured no heavy makeup, no bun, and no bridal lehenga - red or otherwise. She wore Sabya from head to toe, yet she wasn't like the other Sabya brides. Is this a new trend she's kicking off for brides? She looked subtle and exquisite in almost little makeup, open hair, a small saree, and stacked jewellery—is this a new style she's kicking off for brides? And, of course, that wonderful dimpled smile was the most prominent element of her wedding!
She donned a lovely ivory and gold organza saree to her wedding, which took place on their house's balcony! It was subtle, elegant, and really attractive on her, and it was as plain as it could be by celeb standards! And then there's the bridal Mehendi, which is again extremely modest, with only a mandala design on the palm and a design on the fingers.
Her hair was also kept loose and minimally groomed, with only some soft waves and a mathapatti in the shape of a hairband. which was really a show-stopper! Her polki work bib style necklace, exquisite jhumkis, stacked kadas, and a tiny polki infinity mangalsutra were the right finishing touches to the ensemble. There wasn't a single splash of color—it was all ivory and gold!
Take a look at the kaleere, which is both simple and elegant. She wore Mrunalini Chandra's cloud and infinity kaleere, which were stunning! The stacked kadas and bangles added a wonderful touch to her basic bridal attire. Oh, and your classic French manicure was flawless!
I also adore the minor personalizations on the blouse, such as the embroidered butterflies! She even embroidered their wedding date on the dupatta, which makes for a lovely keepsake!
She wore a simple gold dupatta over her head that complemented the saree's pattern, and we're completely smitten with the whole ensemble! A very lovely refreshing change for a bride, especially at a celebrity wedding!
